Eric Lynch, Music Director
I grew up in Overland Park, KS for all of my childhood and young adult years and I love all sports teams Kansas. I started playing piano when I was 5 and then I played in the school band starting in 5th grade and continued through 12th (played clarinet and alto/bari Saxophone) I picked up bass in high school and didn’t learn acoustic guitar until my sophomore year of college at Indiana Wesleyan University, when God called me to be a worship leader. I’ve always been involved at church especially with the music side of things, growing up with parents who were heavily involved with the worship team. Starting here at Faith United in July of 2011 was my first position as a worship pastor, but I’ve always served in the church on music teams since I can remember. As a family we were there pretty much every Sunday playing or singing for Jesus.
While being here at Faith United I met my wife, Cece and we’ve been blessed with two kids: our son Lincoln and daughter Eliza. Cece has been a champ at managing graduate school, raising two kids and becoming a teacher at JCTC. Pretty. Awesome. Gal.
I love Jesus, my family, friends, sports, homemade ice cream, chips & salsa, hiking, dogs not cats, laughing til I cry and of course music. My biggest influences for worship music are: Matt Redman, Kristian Stanfill, Chris Tomlin, Rend Collective and Hillsong. Psalm 145 rocks my socks.
